Hello April!

God I am so happy to see brighter and warmer days. The past few days I have been wearing t-shirts and sunglasses and I am here for it you guys, all I need to do now is to inject my wardrobe with some spring pieces. The more I thought about what I wanted to get out of this month, the more I realised that there is quite a lot I’m feeling motivated about which is always good! April is looking to be quite an exciting month so I wanted to give you guys the low down on what I want to achieve…

Build up more of a spring/summer wardrobe!

I’ve seen a few pieces that I want to add to my wardrobe lately which I’d like to sort out this month. I’m going to take a one in one out approach which I think I will definitely help keep my clothes at a manageable level. I’m big into anything broderie at the moment, I’d love to get some blouses and dresses in this material for the summer time, but especially for our holiday in June. I’m thinking cute dresses and woven shoes paired with rattan bags and tortoise shell cat eye sunglasses…what do we think?

Continue to be environmentally conscious…

I’ve been thinking about our lovely planet for a while for now and it’s constantly been in the forefront of my mind. I’ve been making more of a conscious effort to do my part for the environment by starting off with the small things like making sure all the recycling is done properly, getting a new reusable water bottle, cutting down on plastic use where not needed and walking to work to reduce on car fumes…but there’s so much more I could be doing…that we could all be doing… I never want to come across as being a pushy person, but I think it’s something that we should all be talking about more and involving ourselves with. Throughout this month, I want to continue with doing my part and more to help the environment.

Celebrate my birthday with my loved ones!

I turn 23 this month which doesn’t sound old at all, but I feel like I’m turning 28. I had holiday to take from work so I decided to take a whole week off for my birthday, so extra I know. Olly and I have got some plans lined up which is very exciting. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for my birthday this year when Olly asked, but we’ve settled on taking a trip to our favourite garden centre for breakfast and plants and I think we may go out for dinner at Bill’s which is always a treat. All I really want to do is spend time with my loved ones and celebrate turning another year older!

Take time to reset…

Throughout April, I really want to take the time to reset and get my life back together. I’ve been feeling really off balance lately, feeling all the feels and it’s showing in all areas of my life. I absolutely love this Reset Routine video by Lavendaire, I found this video hugely inspiring as I realised that I can take pretty much all of these steps to reset my life and get my shit together. (Side note - if you love beautifully curated content on all different areas hosted by the most calming presence, you need to follow Aileen.) I’m going to try and follow this video to spruce up my life.

I think I might start with a wardrobe clear out, I also need to do a deep clean in my bedroom and bathroom as well take on smaller tasks like washing my make up brushes. I also want to try meal prepping and make sure I am on track with my eating and exercise this month. If anyone has any tips on bouncing back after not feeling great, please do shoot me a dm! I’d love to hear from you.

I’m happy with the goals I’ve set this month, I think it will be a good one! Let me know what goals you’ve set yourself this month, I would love to know.
